Well 2012 has closed and 2013 has opened with a bang...literally! My great neice tripped and fell carrying a fish tank...it shattered and she suffered severe cuts. Her left wrist was half cut on one side from the front to the back. Thank God her major bloodlines were missed!! However, her tendons were cut and nerve damage. She saw a specialist last week and had surgery the other day. The doctor is hopeful that she will heal and of course she will go through therapy. Whew!! I tell ya!! When my neice sent me a picture of her wrist...I instantly cried and was just shaken. All I could think of was how blessed she is because she could have easily been killed. I told my neice no more fish tanks and she told me she was waaay ahead of me.
January brings a new semester for all 3 of the kiddos. I have had to shop for supplies again! No sales, so you know I am disappointed paying full price. January also brings a "new me" challenge. Many of you know about my Stash Diet blog and now I am going on a
diet...errr lifestyle change. Reading about what a couple of fellow bloggers have done has been encouraging. I joined Weight Watchers on the 29th and have lost 6.2 lbs.!! A lot for a couple of weeks, but The Busy Stitcher has been busy revamping the pantry, fridge, and exercise routine. I have a lot of stash to stitch and momma is trying to live long enough to get through most of it! LOL Those of you who struggle with exercise due to disability like me, Leslie Sansone and Yoga has worked wonders for me. I have to adapt a few things, but I am moving!!
I will share this link with you. Whether you want to lose weight, read your Bible, stitching, eat more fruit, or whatever habit you would like to begin this year
MamaJenn has a nice worksheet to get you started within 21 days. I am using it to remember to do some form of exercise for 5 minutes every hour when stitching or quilting. You know we get involved and time flies!
My stitching slowed tremendously the past couple of weeks other than getting my UCJC 2013 going. I have not posted pics of any starts! Yikes!! BUT I am revamping my posting to go with my new lifestyle. I will now be posting twice a month...midmonth and the end of the month. Monday Babble will go on hiatus for a bit. So, look for a posting in the next couple of days. Computer is going to be once or twice a week also, so don't think I have abandon you my blogger and yahoogroup buddies...I still love ya and will chat and support you!
Happy New Year!! I hope you all find many blessings in 2013!

Thanks for sharing the 21 days!! Glad your niece is ok.. It sure could have been really bad.
Glad your neice is okay and hope she will have a speedy recovery.
Congrats on your lifestyle change and hope you will reach your goal(s) too and looking for those progress pics. LOL.
How very frightening for your niece!
I had a friend who was running through the grocery store with a glass bottle in each hand and slipped on a wet spot. She went down onto both bottles and cut her palms horribly. I remember how often I had done the same thing because I forgot something while standing in the checkout line. I don't run anymore! LOL
I hope she has a speedy and excellent recovery.

Oh your poor niece! But I am glad to hear that fingers crossed with the surgery and therapy everything will be ok.
Good luck with weight watchers! I joined a couple of years ago and lost 2 and a half stone! :) x
